Manila: Ahead of a concert by controversial American pop singer Lady Gaga the mayor of Metro Manila, where the event is to be held, reminded its producers to stick to rules concerning public decency in the conduct of the event.

Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto called on the producers of Lady Gaga's upcoming concert tomorrow and Tuesday at the SM Mall of Asia, to ensure that they follow the rules and regulations stipulated in the concert permit earlier provided by the city government.

"Although we respect artistic and musical expressions, I won't allow anyone or any group to provide acts which may be questionable in a way at any venue under my jurisdiction. We reminded the producers of Lady Gaga's concert that the show and the event as a whole shall not exhibit any nudity or lewd conduct which may be offensive to morals and good customs," the city chief executive reiterated.

Ovation Productions, a local concert producer, is in charge of preparations for the event.
