Giant, which was posthumously released in 1956, saw Dean play a supporting role to Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. This was due to his desire to avoid being typecast as Jim Stark and Cal Trask. In the film, he plays Jett, an oil-rich Texan. His role was notable in that, in order to portray an older version of his character in one scene, Dean dyed his hair gray and shaved some of it off to give himself a receding hairline.
Giant would be Dean's last film. At the end of the film, Dean was supposed to make a drunken speech at a banquet; this is nicknamed the 'Last Supper' because it was the last scene before his sudden death. Dean mumbled so much that the scene had to later be overdubbed by Nick Adams, who had a small role in the film, because Dean had died before the film was edited.
For the 1956 Academy Awards, Dean received his second posthumous Best Actor Academy Award nomination for his role in Giant.

The Prime Minister David Cameron has announced a review into military medals via a Written Ministerial Statement and terms of reference. These have been laid in the House of Commons. The review will be conducted by Sir John Holmes, who will report back by the summer.
The Coalition stated its intention in its Programme for Government to review the rules governing the award of medals as a part of its commitment to rebuilding the Military Covenant.

Well, this poem says that, as we know, Adam, the first man named by a woman lived 60,000 years ago. He has persisted since then, not relaxing and just living, but racing toward his goal of being free. If he doen't achieve it in this life time, perhaps he will in the next 3,000 years when the pyramid will be 25,000 years old. God drives a very hard bargain, but most people will never know the effort required to draw close to God, because everything is so easy for them. Adam's father's prayer was that he have his son again, if God is real. God is real, but the feat, although achieved several times, does not have the satisfaction of being fuly acieved. The result desired is so simple, ownership of what is his, but that would be too simple, and people who do not understand God, always sem to have a "better" idea. Sadly we may run out of time before the world vanishes, however we do not fret because we don't believe we have a single life, we think we have forever. And what of Eve, who this is about? Is she a single woman, and does she even care for him? She appears indifferent, loving her sister more than any man, and so life passes her in a dream. Her world is everything she dreamed of, but Adam is not in it. more
