Type: Single-seat carrier strike fighter.
Future: Despite the great age of its basis, and its several severe shortcomings- such as the use of an obsolescent turbojet with double the weight and fuel consumption of modern engines- the Super Etendard demonstrated in the Falklands that against unprotected or unready ships it can be deadly.
